Free online seminar helps with planning for the future

Life gets busy and it often becomes difficult to find the time to plan for the future. For the sake of our loved ones, though, it is important to pause our hectic schedules and make those plans.

Montgomery County Community College Foundation can help with that vital planning with its upcoming online seminar, “Estate Planning: Let’s Plan for the Future,” on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The free event will be held via Zoom and is open to everyone. Please register by Tuesday, Oct. 19, and submit your questions for the speakers.

The seminar will cover the following topics:

  • Checklist for estate planning and organizing your financial documents
  • Tax reform and your estate plans
  • Retirement plans, beneficiary designations and the SECURE Act
  • Benefits of charitable giving
