Students and Employees,

As many of you are aware, escaped convict, Danelo Cavalcante, recently was sighted in northern Chester County, according to the Pottstown Police Department. As of this time, the Pottstown Police has no information that Cavalcante is in or near Pottstown, and our Pottstown Campus will remain accessible.

Please be assured that the safety and security of our students and employees are our highest priorities. As a precaution, the College is increasing campus security at the Pottstown Campus. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates if the situation warrants.

We want to remind students and employees at all our campuses of some basic safety practices to keep in mind.

• Always be aware of your surroundings, and who is around you, especially when you are entering and exiting your vehicle.
• Always lock your vehicle, keep all windows closed and take any valuable personal belongings with you.
• If you are concerned about your safety going to your vehicle or buildings, please contact Campus Safety using the non-emergency number, 610-718-1822 for the Pottstown Campus, and 215-641-6604 for the Blue Bell Campus, and Campus Safety will escort you to your destination.
• If you see anyone or anything suspicious, call 911.
