Stride Into Wellness: Festival Brings Fitness and Fun for the Community

Mark your calendars, lace up your sneakers and enjoy a morning of health and wellness activities as the Blue Bell Rotary Club,  Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) and Whitpain Township Parks & Recreation, host the Stride and Thrive 5/10K and Wellness Fest on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Held at MCCC’s Health Sciences Center, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, this family-friendly event promises activities for all ages, whether you’re a seasoned runner, casual walker or interested in learning more about wellness to improve your overall health and well-being.

Festivities will kick off with the 5K/10K races at 7:30 a.m. followed by a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic route that winds through the surrounding area and ends at MCCC’s campus. Register now for the 5K or 10K run. There is no registration fee for 1-mile walkers.

The entire community is invited to the free Wellness Fest inside the Health Sciences Center from 9 a.m. to noon. This walk-in event does not require any registration—feel free to stop in at your convenience. It will be a fun environment with a wide variety of activities, services and information for all ages. The Wellness Fest is a wonderful way to focus on your health and well-being. Here is a sample of what the dozens of providers will offer:

Proceeds from the event sponsors will benefit two significant causes: Whitpain Township’s new nature-based accessible playground and MCCC students in need.
