Montgomery County Community College will soon host a free children’s dental clinic to provide preventative care and examinations.

MCCC’s Dental Hygiene program will host Sealant Saturday, a children’s dental sealant program, Saturday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Dental Hygiene Clinic, Room 1400 (first floor) of the Health Sciences Building, on the Blue Bell Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. The program will provide complimentary oral examinations and sealant placement for children 6 to 16 years old.

“A dental sealant is a clear protective coating placed on permanent teeth in order to prevent dental decay,” said Debbie Gnutti, MCCC Dental Hygiene Program Director. “Preventative services will be performed by Dental Hygiene senior students under direct supervision by registered dental hygienists and dentists.”

Space for Sealant Saturday is limited and appointments are required. To schedule an appointment, call MCCC’s Dental Hygiene Clinic at 215-641-6483.

Since 1973, the Montgomery County Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic has been providing the public with comprehensive preventive dental hygiene services. Students within the Dental Hygiene degree program recruit and schedule patients to help meet their clinical requirements. All treatment procedures are supervised by licensed dentists and dental hygienists.
