Come and enjoy a spring day of fun at Montgomery County Community College’s Pedal for the Future Community Festival on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Pottstown Campus, South Hall, 101 College Drive in Pottstown. The event is free and will be held rain or shine.
“All members of the community are invited to join us for a day of games, wellness and fun,” said Amy Auwaerter, Senior Director of Pottstown Operations. “We look forward to welcoming families to the Pottstown Campus. We’re grateful for all the participating vendors and generous sponsors who have come together to make this event possible for the community.”
This family friendly event will feature an array of activities, including games, hands‑on art projects, touch-a-truck, free health and dental screenings, raffles, giveaways and much more. Food trucks and vendors will offer a variety of delicious food selections. MCCC will also host a scavenger hunt and campus tours through the newly renovated buildings. Montco Radio students will be providing music throughout the event and Montco’s Hospitality Institute will have some tasty treats created by culinary students.

Before the festival, the Pedal for the Future youth bike event will begin at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of MCCC’s Challenger Learning Center at 140 College Drive, Pottstown. Pottstown first responders, Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation volunteers, Montgomery County Community College Municipal Police Academy cadets, and Take It Outdoors Adventures employees will teach bike safety and maintenance with 22 pre-selected Pottstown-area youth before they go on a supervised bike ride.
Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation and Wheels of Justice are sponsoring the Pedal for the Future youth bike event. Citadel Credit Union, Montco Radio, Pottstown Parks & Recreation, and Wolf, Baldwin & Associates, P.C. are sponsoring the community festival along with MCCC.
