MCCC's 'Power Your Growth' Virtual Professional Development Conference

Montgomery County Community College will be hosting its Fall Professional Development (Virtual) Conference during the week of September 22-25. The free online conference is open to the public and designed to bring together college employees, educators, administrators, and community partners for a collaborative exchange of knowledge, innovative strategies, and professional development opportunities.

This year’s theme, “Power Your Growth,” will feature several topics, including but not limited to:

  • The Future of Teaching and Learning
    Innovative instructional strategies, student engagement techniques, and effective approaches across learning modalities.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Emerging Technologies
    Exploring Generative AI, Extended Reality (XR), digital transformation, and technology shaping the future of education.
  • Enhancing the Student Experience
    Strategies that promote student success, belonging, retention, tutoring, instructional design, and holistic support.
  • Collaboration, Communication & Workplace Excellence
    Building stronger teams, project mapping, leadership, enhancing productivity, cultivating professionalism, and strengthening workplace culture.
  • Essential Skills for Today's Professional
    Effective communication, AI prompt design, compliance topics, equity-focused practices, and career-enhancing skills.

The featured virtual keynote panel will take place on Thursday, September 24, at 10 a.m. and will feature Dr. Tuesday Stanley, President of the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges; Dr. Nick Neupauer, Vice President of the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges; and Dr. Sydney Beeler, Senior Director of Client Success at CampusWorks. Together, these distinguished higher education leaders will explore how higher education has evolved, discuss the changing landscape of Pennsylvania's community colleges, and offer perspectives on the innovative strategies institutions can employ to help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

This is a great collaboration opportunity to share insights, showcase projects, present research findings and network with fellow professionals in the education field.
