Drawing I (ART 111)

An introduction to drawing in a variety of media including charcoal, conté crayon, pencil, and ink. Students will draw a variety of subjects including still life, landscapes and life models. Emphasis will be placed on developing an understanding of developing line and tone, composition, gesture, anatomy, basic perspective, and other perceptual concepts. Studio work will be augmented by critiques, discussions, and demonstrations. This course is subject to a course fee.
