Earn Act 48 credits at Montgomery County Community College!

Act 48 of 1999 is a Pennsylvania state law that requires all certified educators to complete ongoing professional development to maintain an "active" status for their teaching and administrative certificates. The law is designed to ensure that teachers, specialists, and administrators continuously update their skills and knowledge throughout their careers.

Students who wish to earn Act 48 professional development credit for a credit course need to complete the Request Act 48 Credits form.
