Modern manufacturing begins with a print. This Introduction to Blueprint Reading course is designed for machine trades students and apprentices who want to master the basics of print interpretation. Using industry-standard textbooks and hands-on sketching exercises, students will learn to translate 2D engineering drawings into 3D mental models, ensuring accuracy and precision in the shop environment.
By the end of this 6-week program, students will be proficient in interpreting lines, symbols, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning necessary for career success in precision machining.
