New transfer agreement with Keystone College

Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) graduates can now seamlessly transfer to Keystone College, located in LaPlume, Pa., thanks to a recent articulation agreement signed by the institutions. Keystone is MCCC’s 34th dual admissions partner.

Under the agreement, MCCC students who graduate with an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Fine Art and Associate in Applied Science degrees and meet Keystone’s transfer requirements will be guaranteed admission into its bachelor’s degree program with junior (third-year) status. Students will be able to complete their bachelor’s degrees within four regular semesters at Keystone.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our students,” said Dr. Victoria Bastecki-Perez, MCCC Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost. “As part of our mission, the College takes a holistic approach by creating pathways for our students through partnerships like this one with Keystone, which enables students to conveniently transfer and complete their educational goals.”

As part of the agreement, Keystone will award academic scholarships to qualified MCCC graduates, based upon their grade point average and academic standing. Keystone also will offer need-based and other types of financial aid.

“Keystone students often begin their college education at community colleges, including Montgomery County Community College,” said Keystone Director of Admissions Jennifer Sekol. “This partnership is a wonderful opportunity for both Keystone College and Montgomery County Community College to provide additional options to students as they pursue a path to a bachelor’s degree.”

While MCCC’s graduates have successfully transferred to numerous four-year institutions across the country and beyond, building formal relationships with select colleges and universities streamlines the transfer process. These partnerships also introduce students to transfer destinations they may not have considered. In addition to dual admissions agreements, MCCC has program-to-program and core-to-core agreements with numerous four-year institutions to facilitate transfer and completion.

Additionally, MCCC offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees on its campuses through its University Center partners.
