Saylor Academy is very pleased to announce a new partnership with Montgomery County Community College of Pennsylvania (MCCC), to provide alternative associate degree completion opportunities for MCCC students.
MCCC and Saylor Academy both recognize that adult learners require flexible educational options to balance skill development with work and life demands. Saylor Academy’s always-available, self-paced course model, and partnerships with leading colleges and universities, such as MCCC, specifically supports working adult learners as they progress toward completing their degrees. The tuition-free aspect of Saylor’s program aligns with MCCC’s mission, which is, like many community colleges, to provide affordable, high-quality educational options to our communities.
“Community colleges are a critical part of the U.S. higher education infrastructure. We are excited to partner with MCCC to help students stay on track to complete their degrees leveraging our ‘always on’ flexible online courses,” says Jeff Davidson, Executive Director of Saylor Academy. “Self-paced options for working and adult students creates a win for all: institutions are able to support students by offering more flexibility, and more students are able to complete successfully and earn meaningful credentials to help them advance in their careers.”
“Our partnership with Saylor Academy will facilitate the transfer of credits for students to accelerate credential and associate degree completion at MCCC,” said Dr. Victoria Bastecki-Perez, MCCC’s Interim President and Provost. “At MCCC, we work closely with academic and community partners to create solutions that will remove barriers for students so they may successfully achieve their academic and professional goals.”
