Montgomery County Community College students earning an Associate of Fine Arts degree will be able to seamlessly transfer into the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration program at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia thanks to a new transfer agreement.

Moore College of Art & Design and Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) have signed a new agreement that will allow students to seamlessly transfer to Moore, a historically all-women’s visual arts college, to complete their bachelor’s degrees. Representatives from Moore and MCCC signed the agreement Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Under this articulation agreement, Montgomery County Community College students earning an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree will be able to transfer into the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration program at Moore.

“Moore College of Art & Design is delighted to launch a new agreement with Montgomery County Community College that creates a clear point of entry and pathway into Moore’s Bachelor of Fine Arts programs for Montgomery County Community College’s associate degree graduates,” said Moore President Cecelia Fitzgibbon. “Moore’s BFA programs are outstanding, and we look forward to welcoming Montgomery County Community College's well-qualified and highly motivated transfer students to the Moore College community.”

This agreement with Moore will help to streamline the transfer process for MCCC students.

“Our collaboration with Moore allows our students to easily continue their educational pathway and earn their next degree without interruption,” said Dr. Gloria Oikelome, MCCC Vice President of Academic Affairs. “This relationship strengthens our mission to help students succeed, not only on our campuses, but with their future educational plans and careers.”
