Opening Reception: Dan Marcolina "Diffused Reality" Exhibition
Unlock animated and interactive versions of photography using a smartphone. This exhibition
reflects Dan Marcolina’s 35-year journey in digital image creation, from commercial
and fine art photography to mixed reality images. By blending AI with traditional
digital techniques he reimagines photography, resulting in distinctive and thought-provoking
visual juxtapositions. Visitors engage with the images through their phones to unlock
additional layers of story, animation, and mystery. Marcolina will also delve into
his insights and interactions with AI during an artist talk. The exhibition will be
on display at the Blue Bell Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422 in two campus
locations:

The members of Berks Photographic Society show the amazing possibilities and diversity
of photographic media today. They take us to shooting locations from Portugal, to
Patagonia to Philadelphia, and capture both natural and built environments in dramatic
and compelling ways. Anyone interested in the expressive power of photography should
have a look at this exhibit. The exhibition is free and open to the public (8/26/25

Community Observatory Night
See the night sky up close using Montco's Blue Bell Campus Observatory! Whether you're an astronomy enthusiast or just enjoy looking up at the night sky,
we've got a special treat for you. Montco's Blue Bell Campus features a state-of-the-art
observatory, including a 16-inch Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope and observation
deck with additional telescopes. We also hold astronomy classes on-site in SMART classrooms.
Co-sponsored with local astronomy associations, our free Community Open Nights welcome
all ages to come out and gaze at the night sky. No prior registration is required.
We ask participants to be careful with food, drink or chewing gum near the scientific
equipment. We also expect parents to be responsible for their children.
