Why did you choose Montco?

I chose Montco because the school marked all my check boxes. It’s affordable, and because I’m paying out of pocket, the affordability was important to me. Montco has the major that I was interested in as well as a certificate I could add on. When I attended the open house, I felt such a sense of welcome and warmth and that solidified my decision in choosing Montco.

What is something unique about you that you would like us to know?

I’m an adult student, so I’m over the average age of a college student. I returned to school not only to earn a degree, but to also give myself the opportunity of having the college experience. I took advantage of all the clubs and activities offered at Montco – I’m a member of the Student Government Association, the Student Usability Board, and I write for the school newspaper, the Montgazette. I also serve as a Student Ambassador and work for the college as a content creator and moderator for Montco Connect. Being an adult learner, I must balance my school with being a caretaker for my senior mother and aunt, along with maintaining my home, and working. Not many people who choose to take the risk of going back to school with all the life obligations that come with being an adult, but I’m happy I did and I’m so glad I chose Montco.
