As a result of our concentration, the growth in healthcare-related occupations is projected to outpace national growth year over year. These jobs are in direct care, indirect care and supporting divisions.
Medical Billing Specialist - Certificate
We also offer a non-credit medical billing specialist program that enables career-changers and working adults to enter the field of revenue recovery with the gateway credential in Certified Billing and Coding. This program was designed by leaders in healthcare revenue recovery, as an in-demand skill set and credential to begin the career pathway. Our instructors are leaders and department managers in major healthcare organizations, and we work with employer partners to help students obtain their first job in this field.
At the program's conclusion, you will qualify to take the national certification exam
for Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) through the National Healthcareer
Association (NHA). Costs for exam preparation and tests are covered.
Sterile Processing Technician
Taught at the Pottstown Hospital, this program trains students in sterilization processing,
decontamination, and aseptic techniques for a career as a Sterile Processing Technician.
The course emphasizes quality assurance, safety, and proper documentation. Students who complete the program may elect to take the Certified Registered Central
Service Technician (CRCST) exam.
