Montgomery County Community College’s Young Arts Explorers/Family Series hosted two performances of “Trout Fishing in America,” featuring the four-time Grammy-nominated duo Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet on Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, in MCCC’s James A. Mullen Community Room at the West Campus in Pottstown.

The performances attracted 326 visitors, including 221 children and 105 adults from Pottstown and the surrounding areas. These presentations were the first time MCCC hosted family programming at West Campus and the turnout exceeded all expectations. “Trout Fishing” featured folk/Americana/blues music that was enjoyed by a variety of ages.

Additionally, Kathy O’Connell, radio host of WXPN’s Kids’ Corner, made a special appearance to introduce the award-winning musicians, who have released 26 albums. Their recordings have garnered three National Indie Awards, multiple Parents Choice and NAPPA Gold awards and the American Library Award.
