Build on what you started

If you’ve earned credits from a Regionally Accredited Institution, College or University, you may be eligible to transfer credits, up to 75 percent, toward an associate's degree at Montco. That’s a great savings!

Montgomery County Community College (Montco) also accepts credits earned outside the U.S. if evaluated by a  NACES-approved agency. Some mathematics and science courses may have a time limit if completed more than five years ago.

The evaluation process includes:

  1. Initial Evaluation: Montco reviews reports from approved NACES credential evaluators.
  2. Document Submission: Montco may request additional details, such as course descriptions, syllabi, and learning outcomes. All documents must be in English.
  3. Final Determination: Even with all required documents, Montco decides whether the credits meet academic standards.

International credit acceptance is not guaranteed. To check if your coursework may qualify, consult your academic advisor or email [email protected].
