Introducing MCCC's Discovery Programs: Igniting Young Minds for a Bright Future!
MCCC Discovery Programs are an immersive educational initiative designed specifically for learners in grades 4-8. By participating in Discovery Programs, students embark on a journey of exploration that paves the way for their future careers and academic achievement. At MCCC we recognize the vital role early exposure to S.T.E.A.M. plays in preparing students for success. That's why we're proud to provide developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned experiences that cultivate growth and learning.
These exceptional programs can be experienced in two unique formats. Groups of 35+ students (or multiple classes) can spend a full day on campus engaging in both a Discovery Program along with a space-inspired learning experience at the Challenger Learning Center at Montco Pottstown. Alternatively, you may opt for stand-alone experiences on the Pottstown Campus. Whichever option you choose, students will benefit from enriching campus tours and cutting-edge technologies, cultivating a connection between education and real-world applications.

What Makes MCCC Discovery Programs Unique?
🔬 S.T.E.A.M.-Powered Adventures: Our programs offer a thrilling journey into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Through engaging, hands-on activities and challenges, students explore these fields in a way that is both educational and exciting.
Available Now:
- Robotics: The Robotics Discovery Program is designed to engage students in an obstacle course where students must think critically and work cooperatively to use block coding to maneuver a Spheros® Bolt through a series of competitive challenges. Once the competition is completed, students debrief to identify opportunities and solutions for improvement of their coded robot. Career readiness skills such as effective communication, leadership, and teamwork are explored and developed.
