Professional Perspectives

The Culinary Arts Institute works closely with businesses in the community, creating mutually beneficial partnerships. These working relationships help our students obtain hands-on experience and provide a great resource for local businesses. Here's what business supporters of our culinary school are saying:

"Having worked in the fast-paced food service business supplying chefs with fresh proteins for over fifteen years, I know the demands and challenges that are faced by culinary professionals every day. The experience that the Culinary Arts Institute exposes its students to is invaluable. Unlike some other professions, the culinary field has high expectations for even its newest professionals. The real-world experience and knowledge that is taught will help Culinary Arts Institute graduates keep up with this hectic pace. Having given tours of our facility to Culinary Arts students, the most refreshing aspect for me is the passion that is evident in both the instructors and students of the program. And where there is passion... success follows."

"At Wegmans, we strive to make a difference in every community we serve by educating families on how to lead a healthy lifestyle, providing the very best ingredients and supporting local organizations. These values also hold true for the staff and students that I have interacted with at the Culinary Institute of Montgomery County Community College. I have worked closely with multiple instructors over the years to conduct tours of our locations to educate students on opportunities in the retail culinary field, hosting externs as an approved externship site, and providing guest chefs in the classroom to talk about job opportunities at Wegmans. It is great to see the emphasis that the school has placed on providing a solid classroom education, paired with hands-on experience through an externship, to support the increasing opportunities in the restaurant and culinary field."
