Celebrating 60 years of transforming lives and communities

2024 marks the 60th anniversary of when Montgomery County Community College was first established, launching the start of six decades that have transformed countless lives and communities.

All year long we will commemorate this milestone birthday and encourage you to celebrate the occasion with us.

Each month in 2024, the Montco on the Move podcast will celebrate the 60th anniversary by interviewing past and present members of the Montco Family who have been there for some of the College’s biggest moments. Listen to the first interview with two members of Montco’s first graduating class, Dan and Marie McCartney, now.

Check back to this page throughout the year to see news and updates about the 60th anniversary!

Acts of Service Challenge

During each month of our 60th year, we challenge the members of the Montco Family—students, employees, and alumni—to perform 60 minutes of community service.

That’s one hour of time a month devoted to helping others on or off campus. If you choose to participate, we want to hear about it! Tell us about your experience at the link below and send a photo or video, so we can share all the great work you do for your community.

Tell us about your service
