Lisa B. Binder is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Montgomery County Community College. She’s a nationally recognized business leader with a three-decade career marked by multiple financial executive positions and leadership development acumen. Since 2009, she’s served as President of G2G Associates, LLC, a business consultancy with a focus on executive coaching and employee development. She’s held key leadership roles at several financial institutions over the course of her career, including President and Chief Operating Officer and Director of Associated Banc-Corp.

In addition to her work with the College, Lisa is actively involved in her field and her community. She has served on many boards over the years, including the Forum of Executive Women; Abington Health System Foundation Board; Gwynedd Mercy University, President’s Council; Financial Services Roundtable-Housing Policy Council; American Banker Association (ABA); The Women’s Center; People’s Emergency Center (PEC); Philadelphia High School Academies; and the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. Her recent recognitions include U.S. Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Banking and Philadelphia Women of Accomplishment.

In her role as Vice Chair, Lisa brings a key strategic perspective to the board. Her deep expertise in values-based leadership, combined with her financial management experience, arm her with a unique set of skills to assist in advancing the College’s core mission. Lisa shares a great pride for that mission and the board’s work. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from DeSales University and an MBA from Wilkes University. She credits her own college experience attending night classes for her focus on finding real-world applications for classroom learning.

When she’s not running her business or offering strategic vision for healthcare, finance, and culture organizations, she enjoys cooking, reading, walking, and trips to the beach. She loves spending time with her husband and family, which has grown to include eight grandchildren.

Her advice to students is to work hard and be true to what you love doing. Most of all, be resilient. “We learn as much or more from what doesn’t go right as what does.”
