Once they have registered with Disability Services, students are responsible for requesting accommodations through Disability Services for each and every semester they wish to use their accommodations. Students should request accommodations at least three weeks prior to the start of the semester in which the accommodations are sought.
While eligible students may request accommodations at any point in the semester, failure to make the request before the start of classes typically results in a period of course enrollment during which the accommodations are not in effect. Please note that accommodations are not retroactive.
Please keep in mind that many accommodations take advance time and planning to arrange, some up to 8 weeks. Students requesting accommodations should refer to the Accommodation Request Timeline below to ensure they make their requests in a timely manner.
