We are here for you and ready to help!

Montco's advising team is here to provide the academic assistance you need. Whether you need a little help with choosing a program or scheduling classes, our academic advisors have got you covered.

Advising appointments

To best suit students’ needs, our advising team offers Zoom appointments (virtually) and in-person appointments at our Blue Bell and Pottstown campus locations.

Fall Semester is right around the corner. From now until August 6, we do have a limited number of advising appointments available. Please schedule online.

Our first priority is getting you prepared for Fall. Since we have shortened our appointments, please schedule your appointment about future transfer goals, graduation verification or educational goals after opening week of the Fall semester. Any appointments involving these topics will be our top priority and addressed once the fall semester has started.

To best serve all of our students, From August 7 to September 10, our advising team will be available for same day (30 minute) appointments. Log in as early as 7:00 each morning to request a time for an advising appointment that day! To make your same-day appointment, schedule online.

If you are a current student at Montco looking for registration assistance, the Student Services Resource Center (SSRC) team is available to assist you via online chat or email at ssrc@mc3.edu. We can work with you to register for classes, answer financial aid questions, make an online payment, change your program of study, and much more!

Are you a new Montco student?

Are you new to Montco? Before connecting with an advisor, complete these steps:

  1. Send a copy of your high school and/or college transcript(s) to transcripts@mc3.edu. In order to determine the appropriate placement, advisors will be holistically evaluating any transcripts you may have. Please send these at least 3 business days in advance of your advising appointment.
    • Next, file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have questions, you can get more info from our Monty Bot at the bottom right of our website or by visiting mc3.edu/FAFSA for step-by-step instructions and workshops.
  2. Fill out the Student Intake form.
  3. If you don’t yet have a Student ID, the MyPhoto online system is now public and you can upload your photo directly in Montco Connect under Quick Links > Virtual ID Photo Submission.

Montgomery County Community College requires students to have their photo taken for their official college record. In order to receive a digital student ID we ask that you submit a photo. You can upload a color snapshot showing a full front view of your head and shoulders according to the requirements shown on this site. By using this process you will avoid lines and save valuable time. By submitting this photo for your student ID you agree this photo will become part of your official College record.

  4. Complete MyCareerPlan which can be found under your 'Tasks' in Montco Connect.
  5. Sign Montco's Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA). The SFRA is a mandatory agreement that outlines financial obligations and responsibilities for attending Montco. You must complete the SFRA in Self-Service prior to registering for classes. This must be done each semester.
  6. To schedule an advising appointment, call 215-641-6577 (press #2) or access our online appointment system (Starfish)

*Interested in the Nursing Program? Be sure to take the first step and attend an information session online. This will provide great information prior to attending an advising appointment. Visit the nursing information page for more information and upcoming information session dates.

If you need any help with the admissions process, our staff is available in our virtual assistance room by accessing the SSRC chat during normal business hours.
